Atticus Finch: Atticus Finch is the father of Scout and Jem Finch. IN the book he is the lawyer of Tom Robinson and he trys his best to defend him in court. Atticus was appointed to defend Tom Robinson but he was appointed for a reason. He was chosen because he was Tom's best chance at winning the case. Atticus, even though his wife died, trys his best to provide for his kids and he is always the nicest dad anybody can be.
In Chapter 15, Atticus goes to Tom Robinsons jail cell and sits with Tom in the middle of the night. Then, a group of angry men come to hang Tom. Atticus trys to calmly talk to the men so avoid violence. This takes true courage. Atticus was sitting at the jail, alone, in the dark. I could imagine how scared he must of been. Atticus is very couragious. |

For Atticus, I chose "By Your Side" By Tenth Avenue North. In this song, they're talking about how God is always there for you and he's a shoulder to cry on. Atticus is the same way for his children and anyone in the Maycomb community.
